Little Dixie Regional Libraries is a two-county library system serving Randolph and Monroe counties in Missouri. We have the main branch (Moberly)  and three (3) branches located in HuntsvilleMadison and Paris.

 

        Little Dixie Regional Libraries exists primarily to meet the informational and recreational needs of all residents within it's service area. The role of the library is to provide access to and actively promote public awareness and usage of materials and services to meet the needs, as well as to preserve the cultural and intellectual heritage of the service area.

Monday, September 15th at 6:30pm - Martha Jane Chisley Tolton as portrayed by Gladys Coggswell. (Moberly Public Library) She will perform in first person Martha Chisley Tolton, tracing the escape to freedom from Ralls County to Quincy, Illinois. Coggswell will share the story of Martha C. Tolton’s son, Father Augustine Tolton, the first full blooded African Priest in the United States. 

All are welcome and invited to attend this very important narrative of history in this family oriented program.
