Getting a New Library Card

Randolph or Monroe County residents must provide a valid id and proof of address. The first card is free, and replacement cards are $2.00.

Non-resident taxpayers may obtain a library card upon proof of payment of county taxes and valid id.

Non-resident college students may use only local resources by showing current student identification card and furnishing permanent address.

Reciprocal borrowers, patrons holding valid library cards from another Missouri library with which we have a reciprocal borrowing agreement, are entitled to a card from Little Dixie Regional Libraries. This card entitles the patron to all the services offered by Little Dixie except interlibrary loan and homebound services. Patrons must show a valid library card from the reciprocal library or proof of district or county residency. Reciprocal city libraries include Monroe City, Salisbury, and Shelbina libraries. Reciprocal county libraries include Audrain, Benton, Boone (except Centralia), Callaway, Camden, Cole, Cooper, Howard (except Glasgow), Maries, Miller, Osage, Pettis, and Ralls county libraries.

Please note that we do not have an agreement with Macon Public Library. Non-resident borrowers, patrons living in areas not covered by an agreement, may choose to purchase a non-resident card from Little Dixie, entitling them to all services offered by our library. Current cost per year is $25 per individual or $40 per family, based on what the average Little Dixie taxpayer pays for library service.
