Adult Outreach Program

Little Dixie Regional Libraries strives to make our materials available to as many patrons as possible.

The Adult Outreach Program is designed to help those patrons who are handicapped, home-bound, or have a hard time getting out. This service allows anyone who can’t physically get out to have access to books, dvds, magazines, audiobooks, and more without leaving their home.

Library materials get sent to your home once a month. The delivery driver will pick up old materials as well as deliver new materials. Patrons are also able to request materials by their favorite authors, genres, or by title. We also have large print books which are easier on the eyes. And if a book is too heavy or if large print doesn’t work we also have books on CD.

This service is free and will help you keep connected to the library and doing what you enjoy!

Materials can also be sent by mail to your home if applicable. This correlates to the Adult Outreach Program only.

Preschool Outreach Program (POP)

The goal of this program is to promote literacy for young children by providing library materials to child care providers throughout the year.

The library also wishes to keep the program easy for childcare providers. Up to 20 books will be pulled every month for each center signed up. These titles will be checked out on library cards assigned to the childcare centers for 30 days. Items call be pulled that follow your lesson plans, pick out books for picky readers, or just select titles that are fun to read. Once a month our delivery driver will drop off new materials, and pick up the previous months. Books will be delivered in green LDRL bags, along with a list of all items checked out for that month. There is no charge for participating in the program, so long as items are returned undamaged. This is a great way for child care providers to have new material available for children without the worry of finding time to visit the library or stress overdue dates.
